Friday, June 26th there was a small cloud of smoke that continually billowed from the front courtyard area of the Prince Hotel on the outskirts of Waikiki.

Jason Fukeda of Tamura's Fine Wines set up the mixer. Each attendee enjoyed 4 cigar selections, a gift bag and a gift card to Tamura's.
Additionally, there were some excellent selections of alcohol to accompany the stix for the evening.
For my first selection, I chose the Fonseca, Cubano Viso Fuerte. To complement this smoke, I grabbed a glass of Macallan 18...My first choice was the Macallan 25, under the advice of a friend, but it was gone. So, I proceeded to enjoy every drop of the 18.
The cigar and the drink went hand in hand and we went on puffing our clouds into the gentle evening breeze. It was a perfect evening for this kind of thing, and there were smiles in every direction I looked.
Our smoke friend, Jon Fia was there to keep everyone supplied with their great Xikar fuel and accessories...
The evening slowly ended with the final ashing of our sticks, and with the quiet sounds of the one-man band that was providing music for us. Hopefully Jason will set up another one before long and I can return for some more newsletter "research"
