BUBBLES! How it’s made |

All wine starts from juice. The grapes are not picked until the perfect point of ripeness. Thanks to Evergreen Vineyards, there is a new, semi-sparkling, non-alcoholic juice out there. 100% Pinot Noir, this is an unsweetened juice that is from Oregon’s northern Willamette Valley. All of the color and quality of an actual Pinot, this juice is an excellent alternative for those who don’t drink, pregnant women, and even kids! |

For those of you who keep up with every issue, we discussed the harvesting process in the September issue. If you haven’t read it yet, head over to www.winestock-online.com and select the back issues to learn about it. Basically, the grapes are harvested when the brix or sugar levels are optimal. This means that there will be plenty of food for the yeast to eat and make alcohol. This juice is made from the same grapes as the wine, but not fermented.
Upon first taste, it is hard to believe that there is no sugar added. It has a wonderful effervescence to it and the flavor is almost decadent. Many bartenders are mixing the drink with Grey Goose as well as floating it on other sparling wines. It is a quality product from the same vintners that produce the fine wines from Evergreen Vineyards.
This product is currently distributed by World Wine Trading of Honolulu. If you are interested, please contact us here at Hawaii Wine Lover to get in touch. It will soon be available in stores like SWAM (waimalu) and J & J Beverage (Aiea). |
