October BeerOctober beer releases

One of the many great things about beer is that there is always a style of beer for the season that you’re in! When October comes around, the beers start getting a little darker and sometimes spicy. I have done some research for everyone reading and located some of the coolest seasonal beers for release in or around the month of October. These are beers that are made by some of the most respected brewers/microbrewers in the country. A lot of them will not be available at any of your local stores, but if you contact Winestock we can help you get your hands on some. Enjoy:

Dogfish Head-Punkin Ale

This beer is made specifically for the Halloween season and has warming, subtle flavors of pumpkin, caramel, and brown sugar.

Some recommended pairings are: Turkey, roasted duck, lamb, and stuffing.

Brewed by Dogfish Head brewery in Milton, Delaware.

Stone Brewing Co. “Double Bastard Ale”

For those of you out there who have tried the Arrogant Bastard, or “oaked” AB, you understand what this means.

Stone brewing has really taken the brewing of this beer to a new level. This is labeled by Stone themselves as a “malt and hop monster”.

The 2007 vintage will be available in the beginning of November.

Brewed by Stone Brewing Co. San Diego, Ca.

Samuel Adams-Octoberfest

A wonderfully blended brew of 5 different barleys, one can experience caramel and toffee on the palette.

A beautiful deep amber color, this beer was designed to transition from lighter summer beers to the darker winter ales.

Brewed by The Boston beer Company, Boston Massachusetts.
