We’re halfway through the year boys and girls. It snuck up on me like Jaguar. Before you know it, we’ll be seeing Halloween decorations at Wal-Mart, and those irritating bell ringers will be soon to follow. I think it’s because we hit January and everything starts to calm down until you realize you have to start your taxes. That stress pretty much ruins the first quarter of the year no matter what you do. Once we’re over than hump there’s graduation season to deal with and by the time you realize what’s happened, your clothes have gone out of style.
Seeing as I now have to buy new clothes, I thought it would be a good time to take a moment. This past month has been pretty hectic planning the Spring Food Wine Festival, but it went over great and I’m happy to say that many people were brought together in a nice way from that event. Once this issue is posted, I plan on re-charging my mental battery. Not take a vacation necessarily, but just take a moment to decompress and be at peace. I think it’s important to do that once in a while, and it’s even more important when you have heavier burdens weighing down upon you. I know, I know, easier said than done right? True, but in the end you will be better off for it. It can be something as simple as going to the beach for an hour or listening to some music. Each of us has a de-stress button somewhere. It just takes time to find it. I hope you all find yours. Maybe some of my wine or beer will help you…..
Rock on!
