June is the month within summer technically begins. June 21st to be precise. Which means it’s time to ice down our favorite whites, roses and sparkling wines to beat the heat and relax. Many weddings also take place this month, so chances are you’ll be able to drink your fill of sparkling.

We have a short list of some great wines to cool you off after a long day, and put you in a relaxed mood.

· Maryhill Pinot Gris: Silky and soothing. This wine is from the Maryhill winery in Goldendale, Washington along the bank of the Columbia river.  This wine is very soothing, serve chilled at about 45º. Available only at Winestock. $22.00

· Fall Creek Muscat Canelli.: This is a hidden gem from Fall Creek Vineyards in Texas hill country. A juicy wine with Apricot and Peach flavors to satisfy, and a light alcohol level to sip easily. Available only at Winestock. $25.00

· Maryhill Rose of Sangiovese: Another Washington import, this wine is also juicy and satisfying. It has great texture and flavor which goes well with a cool fruit salad or other aperitif. Serve chilled as well. Available only at Winestock. $22.00

· Selbach Riesling: This one is truly a gift. A Kabinett Riesling, it is made from an early harvest of the Riesling grape, retaining acidity and a light-style, with a modest alcohol level of 9%. This one is almost too easy to drink, and can be had for only $7.99 at Winestock, or Fujioka’s Wine Times exclusively.

Hopefully this short list of wines will help you find comfort and relaxation in the impending heat of June. If you want to learn more about any of the wines listed above, please contact us. 688-7770 or: www.winestock-online.com

What to drink this summer?

An associate of mine has recently launched a new premier men’s magazine, appropriately named: Kane. It has a great mixture of articles and subjects that men will find appealing.

I have been given the auspicious opportunity of writing an article on beer for each issue. Please take a look at the magazine if you can. The magazine is available for free here at Winestock, or you can visit their website for a list of businesses that have magazines available. Www.kanemag.com
